Founded in Bath in 1983 with the release of City of Stone by the Bolivian group Rumillajta, Tumi Productions has built its reputation on active artist promotion, encouraging a large touring network and providing a long-term commitment to artist development. Tumi has a solid catalogue of recordings by some of the best artists in Latin America and the Caribbean. The label has also experimented with ‘cross-border’ projects, like the award-nominated Banacongo collaboration between Papa Noel from Congo and Papi Oviedo from Cuba.
