Planmeca LED operating light provides optimisedillumination with four large, powerful LEDs. They allowviewing all areas of the oral cavity with extreme accuracy.The operating light can be switched on or off and the lightintensity varied simply by waving the hand. The slimline Planmeca LED operating light produces continuous,uniform illumination that allows clear and detailed vision into allareas of the oral cavity. LEDs ensure constant power and colourtemperature and are, with a life span of over 50,000 hours,virtually maintenance-free.The infrared sensors of the Planmeca LED enable switchingthe operating light on or off as well as varying the light intensitysimply by waving the hand. Waving the hand shortly in frontof the sensors switches the operating light on or off. Holdingit longer in front adjusts light intensity. The light intensityadjustment ranges from 50% to 100%.When Planmeca LED is attached to Planmeca Sovereign dentalunit, it can be controlled from the unit graphical user interfaceor from the foot control.The operating light arm is remarkably long, ensuring that eventhe entire mandibular area is perfectly illuminated. Three-axisadjustment completes the light aiming. With user adjustablehandles on both sides, the operating light is easy to reach andposition, and put aside when not needed. Scratch-proof dust coverensures clear and long-lasting vision.For enhanced hygiene, both handles can be removed andautoclaved. The risk of cross-contamination is minimisedwith hands-free operation. The dust cover is easy to keep clean.Planmeca LED operating light is equipped with LEDs that do notemit a wave-length of 470 nm spectrum, which is the wavelengthused for photo-polymerisation of camphorquinone.Thus, pre-polymerisation of the composites is extremely low.As LEDs neither provide heat nor require a cooling fan, theoperation is silent.
