accessdb Command—Authorize User Accessaccessdb Command—Authorize User AccessThe accessdb command invokes a forms-based interface by which the systemadministrator or another privileged user can authorize access to Ingres andindividual databases. Accessdb is also used to extend databases to newlocations.The accessdb command has the following format:accessdb [-uusername] [-vnode=vnode]-uusernameSpecifies the effective user for the session, as described in Standard Flagsand Parameters (see page 15).-vnode=vnodeSpecifies a vnode name as described in Standard Flags and Parameters(see page 15).Note: A dynamic vnode is not valid on the -vnode parameter of theaccessdb command.26 Command Reference Guide
