7616/7: Clearway, Palmerston North 12, 3 4/97, 8/97. 7617 was the second MB with fleet number 3 in the<br />
Clearway fleet. Clearway leased a total of ten of the MB L608D from Stagecoach after they had<br />
become surplus to the various subsidiaries, but Clearway failed 1/98 and the leases were taken over<br />
by Total City Buses Ltd, Palmerston North {same fleetnumbers}, who ceased 9/98. <strong>The</strong> MB were<br />
returned to Stagecoach, then found their way to Associated Coach Sales (NZ) Ltd, a Palmerston<br />
North-based dealer, and were sold by tender 10/98. 7616 has not yet been traced, but 7617 was<br />
with C J Worth Ltd {Blue Worth Coachlines}, Hamilton W17 by10/00.<br />
