Billings, Rural Retreat. LYF 188 was acquired with the intention of painting it black as an “eye catcher” for JR<br />
Enterprises (one of his two businesses, the other is D&D Sales); currently red, it remains untouched as yet<br />
(3/01).<br />
Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. <strong>The</strong> buses here were acquired to operate a Park & Ride service at this theme park.<br />
It is believed that the Park & Ride facility was replaced by a monorail system circa 1977/78. One of the RT’s<br />
carried VA licence number FVH314.<br />
City of Hampton, Hampton. LYR 763 and MXX 268 were used on tours of Langley Air Force Base and NASA’s<br />
Langley Research Centre.<br />
Government of Virginia, Williamsburg. It is believed the four Lodekkas reported above, were only on hire from<br />
British Promotions, Norfolk, VA, to operate a Park & Ride service during Bicentennial celebrations in the summer<br />
of 1976.<br />
Greater Lynchburg Transit, Lynchburg. 48 CNG is painted red for “Special Events”, but sees very little use; it may<br />
be that it will be sold in the near future.<br />
Rowland, Keysville. CWG 62 sits in the trees beside the Rowland’s home. At some stage it was converted into a<br />
mobile home; it was certainly used as such while the Rowland’s home was remodelled. It is now gutted awaiting<br />
restoration.<br />
Royal London Wax Museum, Virginia Beach. This museum had a Bristol FLF6B with automatic gearbox, about ten<br />
years ago, but it has never been identified - any offers! (Full address was International Leisure Corp., 1606<br />
Atlantic Boulevard, Virginia Beach.)<br />
Town of Abingdon, Abingdon. <strong>The</strong>re was a Bristol FLF here too, which carried the registration “KRU 226F” (which<br />
is also claimed by Grayline, New York’s number 200). As it was sold in 1999, twelve month’s before our visit, I<br />
cannot offer any true identity at this stage. Both buses (FLF and LD) had been used to give tours of the town,
