an “Adoption of <strong>Agreement</strong>”. TEAM LEADER will provide <strong>CAFE</strong> with a copy of the<br />

"Adoption of <strong>Agreement</strong>" signed by each TEAM MEMBER.<br />

TEAM MEMBERS may NOT participate in the CHALLENGE on more than one<br />

TEAM.<br />

Any U.S. Government entity is ineligible for the prize competition. Any organization<br />

principally or substantially funded by the Federal Government, including Federally<br />

Funded Research and Development Centers, Government-owned, contractor operated<br />

(GOCO) facilities, and University Affiliated Research Centers, must have their eligibility<br />

to compete in the CHALLENGE pre-determined by <strong>CAFE</strong>. The principle to be used in<br />

such determination is to assure no unfair advantage to any TEAM.<br />

U.S. Government employees (including employees of Federally Funded Research and<br />

Development Centers, Government-owned, contractor-operated facilities, and University<br />

Affiliated Research Centers) must have their eligibility to compete in the CHALLENGE<br />

pre-determined by <strong>CAFE</strong>. U.S. government employees may not be acting within the<br />

scope of their employment. The principle to be used in such determination is to assure no<br />

unfair advantage to any TEAM.<br />

Board members of <strong>CAFE</strong> are not eligible to participate in the CHALLENGE.<br />

2.2 Aircraft and Hardware Eligibility<br />

Aircraft and aircraft parts that were manufactured and assembled in foreign countries can<br />

be used to win any C<strong>GFC</strong> prize by TEAM(s) that has valid eligibility as defined herein.<br />

Any aircraft or Vehicle whose design or construction is deemed by <strong>CAFE</strong> to have been<br />

principally or substantially funded by any Government may be ineligible to participate in<br />

the CHALLENGE, other than as a possible exhibition. Determination of such eligibility<br />

will be made by <strong>CAFE</strong>. The principle to be used in such determination is to assure no<br />

unfair advantage to any TEAM.<br />

2.3 Financing<br />

TEAM shall not obtain any government (federal, state, local or foreign) funding for<br />

purposes of participation in the CHALLENGE.<br />

2.4 Uses of Federal Resources<br />

TEAM is permitted to use or pay for the use of U.S. Government facilities, personnel,<br />

hardware, or information previously developed by the U.S. Government if access to such<br />

is available on an open, cooperative, nonexclusive, or reimbursable basis.<br />
