director, general manager and company manager are to be submitted when known.Equity shall receive this list prior to the submission to agents.(4) All Auditions shall be held in a theatre, rehearsal hall or other Equity approved locationwhich is in compliance with Safe and Sanitary provisions set forth below. (See also Rule60, SAFE AND SANITARY CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.)(5) The Producer shall use the facilities of the Equity Audition Center for EPA’s andChorus Calls, to the extent that these facilities are available and compatible with theinterview and audition requirements of the Producer.(6) The Producer shall consult with Equity with respect to the scheduling of auditions.(7) An Equity monitor shall be present at no cost to the Producer to organize theauditions. The Producer shall make the premises available to the Equity monitor andperformers at least one hour prior to scheduled auditions.(8) The Producer shall provide a piano and an accompanist who can sight read whenmusical auditions are held.(9) The Producer (or representative) shall keep a sign-in sheet, provided by Equity, at allcallbacks and appointment auditions to denote arrival and departure times of allperformers, and furnish a copy to Equity. Performers who are required to be at anaudition or callback longer than three hours from the scheduled appointment shall be paidat the rate of $15 per hour for the fourth hour and for each additional hour or part thereof.Should the performer be late for the appointment, the Producer may dismiss theperformer and re-schedule the audition. Should the Producer not exercise this option, thecomputation time shall commence upon the performer’s arrival.(10) When a role to be cast depicts a character with a specific physical disability, theProducer shall include this information in the casting specifications so that performerswith similar disabilities may be informed of the opportunity to audition for the role.(11) When a deaf performer is sought, the Producer shall provide, during the audition, aqualified interpreter for the deaf (i.e. an interpreter qualified or certified in sign languageor oral interpretation).(12) All audition material provided by the Producer shall, upon request, be madeavailable at a place to be designated by the Producer at least 48 hours in advance of theaudition to blind and visually impaired performers.(C) Equity Principal Auditions and Interviews. [See also Rules 5(A) & (B) above.]Principal Auditions for Equity performers shall be conducted in accordance with thefollowing:(1) The Equity Principal Audition (EPA) is defined as a scheduled time and place at whichEquity performers shall be auditioned for principal roles.4
