Her 136 treys surpassesolder sister and current CU graduatemanager Kristi’s 132. She also movedpast Angela Timmons’ 134 and into ninthplace in CU career history.NCAA Ranks<strong>Creighton</strong> ranks seventh in the NCAA thisweek in fewest turnovers per game, with13.6. The Jays rank 30th in the nation indefense, allowing just 55.3 points per game.CU’s 6.7 three-pointers per game rank 32ndin the NCAA. Megan Neuvirth ranks 26thin the NCAA with 9.7 rebounds per gameand K e l s e y Wo o d a r d is 28th with 2.5three-pointers per game.MVC LeadersMegan Neuvirth leads the MVC with 9.7rebounds, 3.3 offensive rebounds and 2.4steals per game. Kelsey Woodard leadsthe MVC in minutes played (37.5 per game)and three-pointers made (84). She’sthe first player in league history to lead theconference in both steals and rebounding inthe same season.• Chevelle Herring was named to the all-MVC second-team. The point guard doubledher career scoring average this year,leading the team with 13.2 points per gameto rank third in the league. She leads theteam with 93 assists and is second on theJays with 64 three-pointers and 42 steals.• Kelsey Woodard earned honorable-mentionall-MVC notice after leading the leaguein minutes played (37.5) and three-pointersmade (84). She also leads the team andranks among MVC leaders in free-throwpercentage (.844).Herring Also Named All-Big 12OK, not really, but junior Chevelle Herringcould make a case to earn all-conferencehonors from the Big 12 this year after herplay against the league. In five gamesagainst the league this year, she averaged22.6 points per game. In each of the fivegames, she was the game’s high-scorer,establishing a career-high in three games.She averaged 40.2 minutes per game, whileshooting 44.4 percent (12-27) from threepointrange and 77.8 percent (21-27) at thefree-throw line. Herring scored a careerhigh31 points against Kansas, in addition to24 points against Iowa State and 23 againstKansas State.No Bird BrainsIn addition to their play on the court, MeganNeuvirth and Kelsey Woodard also exceloff the court. The duo was named to theM V C Scholar-Athlete Second-Team thisyear.
