Anderson, Burlington. OLD 529 (AEC Rt III/PR H??R originally LT RT4743) is still (8/09) in the rear yard at Ted’s Service
Centre, Burlington, and looks more unlikely to ever move again!
Bus & Boat Company, Toronto. This operator has a new owner having being purchased by The Magic Bus Co. of Toronto
earlier this year (2009). They have also joined the City Sightseeing organisation and the RouteMasters are receiving City
Sightseeing names and staff wear the CS uniform. Fleet expansion has also occurred as shown above.
Double Deck Tours, Niagara Falls. Tourism has suffered badly in Niagara Falls this summer due to the swine flu (far fewer
Japanese tourists, for example), new Passport Control regulations for crossing between Canada and the USA, and the
‘credit crunch’. Consequently Double Deck Tours was only operating six Routemasters out of a potential fleet of 19. As at
1/7/09, 02 (RCL 2252), 04 (RM 2165, newly fitted with a Cummins engine ex-school bus), 15 (RML 2501), 18 (RM 1604),
19 (RM 1102) and 23 (RML 2555) were the only buses in service; about August 3 rd , 24 (RML 2467) replaced 23. In
addition, 05 (RM 583) was parked as an advertising bus at the Best Western Hotel on Fallsview Boulevard.
Greyhound Canada Transportation (Gray Line), Ottawa. In 7/09 2008 (CRC 249J) and 2009 (MCO 260H) were in an all-over
advert livery for the Casino; .2007 (CRC 251J), which retains its roof, was in a red livery. In the yard 2010 (CRC 241J)
was engineless and may be withdrawn.
Greyhound Canada Transportation (Gray Line), Toronto. Both 358 (JGF 158K) and 7347 (CWU 145T) have been parked up
at the depot out of use for some considerable time and may be considered withdrawn (both were seen in service during
2007). Of note is that Toronto is now the only place in the world to have scheduled daily DMS operation.
Lady Dive Tours, St. Isidore. Normally the service is run with two open top VRTs, red liveried no. 7 (JHW 114P) and no. 6
(UWV 605S) which carries a green all-over advert livery for Camouflage in conjunction with an exhibition on this subject at
the war museum. The third bus which could be considered the spare is Bristol FLF no. 2 (GDL 815E) which is also red
and retains its roof although most upper side windows are removed.
Scharf, Kitchener. Former RT3814 (NXP 821, but now carrying NXP 824 at the front) now sports an all-over advertising
livery for the Kitchener Rangers, a local ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). This bus is now located
just north of 421 Manitou Road, on the west side of the road in Kitchener (7/09).
ShopDineTour Toronto, Toronto. KEL 721/4 had been advertised for sale on e-Bay in 12/06 and although they were still
present in the yard in 3/07, they had gone by9/07. They were then seen together in 5/08 parked on the property of
