Toronto Film Studios at 75 Commissioners Street, Toronto. By 10/08, the area had been cleared of all vehicles and was
ready for development - KEL 721/4 have gone, their status unknown. We hope Paul Bateson can track them down again.
Atlanteans ERV252D and SDX31R are in yellow fleet livery; VR HWJ928W is in fleet livery with a “Sound of Music” mural
added to the lower deck and Fleetline OET 108M likewise with a lower-deck contravision vinyl for “Shorts” (?) (8/09)
Virgin Mobile, Toronto. In 7/09, immaculate Virgin Mobile-liveried 788 DYE was found parked on the driveway of 3852
Prince of Wales Drive, Nepean, ON K2C 3H2. This is the home of Mark Edey who is responsible for all the conversion
work to 788 DYE through his EdeyFX design and fabrication company. Such work has included the fitting of a platform
door, and 4 hydraulic rams to lift the main roof, and all internal fitting is being done to a very high standard. He even
intends to erect a building on the site to house the bus in winter.
-?-, St. Catharines. LUC 246 and MLL 903 have led a nomadic existence in recent years ever since leaving the safety of the
compound at Pier Pressure Marina Sales, Lighthouse Road. Port Dalhousie, by3/04. MLL 903 was taken to 431 Louth
Street, St. Catharines, but had gone from there by12/06 (possibly "some time" before that date). It was then rediscovered
parked in a field at 219 Merritt Road (at Glendale Avenue), St. Catharines alongside LUC 246 in 7/08. LUC 246 had not
been seen anywhere during the last 5 years but it is thought it remained here until sold for scrap in 7/09. Meanwhile MLL
903 continued its wanderings relocating to Dorchester Road, Niagara Falls later in 2008, and by7/09 it was back in St.
Catharines (at 220 Westchester Road/24 Henrick Avenue). It is not known whether LUC 246 and MLL 903 have been in
common ownership during this time or whether it is co-incidence that their paths have crossed. I suppose it is just
possible that they could still have been owned by Nino Donatelli, Port Dalhousie (previous owner) whose refreshment
business, Sammy's Double Scoop, appears to have closed in 2001. Any clarification on all this gratefully received.
-?-, Toronto. 788 DYE was found in a storage compound in the dock area of Toronto in 10/08; this was the first sighting of
the bus since it left Gord Welham’s custody at Fulton. 788 DYE looked extremely smart with a full set of route 36
destination blinds. Ownership at this time has still not been established.
General
Autocar Connaisseur {Gray Line}, Montreal. In 7/09, 481 (JJD 481D) and 639 (NML 639E) were in fleet red livery with
murals of Montreal on the lower side panels only; 435 (JJD 435D) and 642 (NML 642E) wore all-over advertising for the
Casino which has a blue/green base (depending on the angle you observe it) with gold representations of the four suits of
cards (Casino appears in an orange rectangle). 709 (SMK 709F) wore an all-over black livery for the Hard Rock cafe.
La Veloroute des Bleuets, Alma. UEV 219E (Bl FLF6G/ECW H??F) is now located in Dolbeau-Misassini, Quebec, where it
serves as one of three maison du Velo offices located right on the bike path around Lac St. Jean. It is painted red and
looks as if its functions are refreshment stop/information centre; report is dated 7/09.
Les Ateliers Rouge Papier, Laval. It appears that workshops are held pm and evenings within WLT 663 for children and
adults to work with paper, etc., making pictures, scrapbooks, etc. It seems WLT 663 is static, it does not attend venues.
