Geberit HDPE: every connection is possibleThe butt weldThe simplest space-saving connectionis the butt weld. Temperatures ofup to 100°C are permissible for short periods (e.g. surges of steam). The system is equally suitedfor freezing temperatures and adapts elastically to cope with expansion, remaining completelyintact and undamaged after thawing.Licensed Geberit tempering processGeberit HDPE pipes undergo a licensed annealing process in hot water to reduce inherent tensilestresses created during manufacture. This process ensures long-term joint integrity, as thermalexpansion and reversion are reduced compared with untreated pipes.Impact resistanceGeberit HDPE is unbreakable at room temperature and offers excellent impact resistance even attemperatures of – 40°C, thus meeting the requirements for drainage systems.

Chemical resistanceGeberit HDPE also offers considerable resistance to chemicals, because of its paraffin structure.The system is insoluble in all inorganic or organic solutions at 20°C.Crush resistance & flexibilityThe flexibility of Geberit HDPE guarantees crush resistance and superior performance in applicationswhere pipes pass through expansion joints or are subject to traffic vibration.Resistance to abrasionDrainage systems are increasingly misused for "refuse chutes”. Hence a pipe’s resistance to abrasionis a particularly important factor for branch pipes, soil stacks and ground pipes.
