accredited Durham Cathedral. During your stay, why not also engage in a nostalgic train journey across<br />

the moors. Follow the Catherine Cookson Birth Trail, a fascinating tour of the borough of South Tyneside<br />

highlighting areas associated with her life. View Catherine’s birthplace before fi nishing at South Shields<br />

Museum. We will also make our way to Whitby, an ancient sea port surrounded by the North York Moors<br />

National Park. A replica of the Endeavour, Captain James Cook’s Ship, can be found here. Perhaps, treat<br />

yourself to lunch at the Magpie Café, described by Rick Stein as ‘best fi sh and chip shop in Britain’.<br />
