LukeMunseyThey Continue to RunBy Kassie RichardsonAt the District meet on October 24, 2012, the <strong>Giles</strong> Spartan CrossCountry teams did very well. For the eighth grade runners, KatieWhitehead placed second in the girls’ race and Austin Pennington camein third for the boys’ race. Kacey Mann and Karina Hernandez placed inthe top 25 for girls’ varsity. For boys’ varsity, Luke Munsey finished infifth and Jacob Stubbs placed tenth. Murdock Link and Josh Stumpfinished in the top twenty. Jacob Gann and Fred Stump completed therace in the top twenty-five. Along with Luke, Jacob, Murdock, Josh,Jacob, and Fred, Walker Woodbury traveled to the Region C meet onNovember 2, 2012 in Bristol. They finished eighth out of twenty threeschools. Congratulations to Luke Munsey and Jacob Stubbs for makingthe first all Three River District team. Good job guys and good luck withyour season next year.Katie Whitehead said,“Running in districtswas really fun. It alsomade me love what I dothat much more!
