from a pre-test score of 0 to a post-test score of 20, perhaps the best indicator of
the effectiveness of the FIE curriculum. Furthermore, only 3 out of 43 students
did not see an improvement from their pre-test to their post-test scores. This is
significant because all students participating have been chosen to be in the after-
school program because their academic skills are far below the standard and they
receive special tutoring to try to make up these differences. Finally, the pre and
post tests scores were compared using a 2-tailed and paired T-Test for each
