Stop playinggames on your smartphone– Start English Paper Piercing! This is a very old method of hand piercingquilts, but is also easy and completely portable! Come learn how to hand baste and connecthexagons to create something beautiful. Back pain is the most common musculoskeletal problems, effecting 90% of people in theirlifetime. It is also the leading cause of musculoskeletal problems which contribute to functional impairmentand disability. This course will help you learn the common causes of back and neck pain,how diagnosis is made, along with surgical and non-surgical options to treat acute and chronic conditions.Instructor—Craig Zettergren, PT, Dip, MDT, Physical Therapy Center of Southington1 Session, 9/24, 6:30-8:00 p.m., $10.00Pitch Perfect– T003Tuesday ~ SHS/ E258A strength and conditioning program for the throwing athlete. This program will provide a physicalscreen to identify risk factors in order to help prevent significant shoulder and elbow injuries. Instudies done on baseball players it was found that 90% of the players included in the study respondedto a stretching program within 1-2 weeks when stretching is performed both before andafter throwing. Participants will learn specific stretching and strengthening exercises which will helpprevent injury along with increase strength to help improve performance.
