These organisations range from localand national, to European and international.EEB’s aim is to protect and improve Europe’s environment and enable itscitizens to play a part in achieving that goal, by promoting environmentalpolicy integration and sustainable policies, particularly at EU level. Our officein Brussels was established in 1974 to provide a focal point for our membersto monitor and respond to the EU’s emerging environmental policy.We have an information service, run working groups of EEB members,produce position papers on topics that are, or should be, on the EU agenda,and represent our members in discussions with the Commission, the EuropeanParliament and the Council.
