The mission of Excellence Girls Charter School is to prepare young girls to enter, succeed in, and graduate from
outstanding college preparatory high schools as well as from college. At Excellence Girls, we cultivate in our
young women the academic skills, knowledge, and character necessary for them to succeed in college and
become responsible citizens and leaders of their communities. Our rigorous curriculum offers over three hours
of literacy instruction and sixty minutes of math instruction every day, in addition to science, social studies,
character education, fitness, art, and/or music. The Excellence Girls academic program is based on that of its
brother school, Excellence Boys Charter School of Bedford Stuyvesant. This school is a member of Uncommon
Schools.
