Manhattan Charter School students receive a rigorous, standards driven education focusing on critical thinking
processes in the areas of literacy, math, social studies, science, music foreign language and art. As the fifth
core subject, music instruction takes place every day for every student. Families are encouraged to take an
active role in the education of their child and we work together to see that each child's needs are met. Student
to teacher ratio in kindergarten is 12:1, and in all other grades approximately 16:1.
