TRANSITIONS Volume 5, Issue 9REGION 9 YOUNG RIDERS:HTTP://WWW.REGION9YR.ORG/2004 USDF ADVANCED YOUNG RIDERAND JUNIOR RIDER CLINIC SERIESSupported by The Dressage FoundationThe United States Dressage Federation (USDF),with the support of The Dressage Foundation, 2004Friend of USDF Youth Programs, is pleased to announcethe fall 2004 schedule for the USDF Advanced YoungRider and Junior Rider Clinic Series with ConradSchumacher.October 1-3: Dynamite Dressage Stables in Scottsdale, AZOctober 4-6: Tempel Farms in Old Mill Creek, ILOctober 9-11: Bear Creek Farm in Woodinville, WAOctober 15-17: Stargate Sport Horses in Bartonville, TXOctober 20-22: Gleneden Dressage Stables in Bedford, NYOctober 23-25: Saddlebrook Equestrian Center in Calera, ALThe USDF Advanced Young Rider and Junior RiderClinic Series is a rare opportunity to provideinternational-level instruction to advanced young ridersand juniors who compete in dressage in the United States.USDF also encourages U.S. dressage coaches and trainersto audit these clinics so that they may educate themselveson Mr. Schumacher’s highly successful method ofteaching and training and share this method with theirstudents.One of the most celebrated junior and youngriderdressage instructors in the world, Mr. Schumachertrained the European Young Rider Championship firstplaceteams and individual medal winners from 1979 to1989. At the 1996 Olympics, he coached Sven andGonnelien Rothenberger to the Netherlands’ silver teammedal and Sven to his individual bronze medal. The winningentries will be published in the 2004 USDF Yearbook and will bedisplayed at the USDF Annual Convention. The winners willreceive a trophy and USDF saddle pad. Chelsea Braman, who also qualifiedfor the NAYRC Championships attended as a groom,as her mount developed a physical problem whichprevented his competing.
