ISO audiometric calibration must be used for frequency specific hearing lossmeasurement.B. Effects of aging on hearing ability (presbycusis) are not considered in ratinghearing impairment because the average hearing loss at 500 Hz, 1000 Hz,2000 Hz and 3000 Hz due to presbycusis falls below 35 decibels.C. Tinnitus alone produces no impairment.D. Tinnitus in the presence of measurable hearing loss (unilateral or bilateral)with impairment of speech discrimination in the poorer ear, may be rated upto 2% impairment on a judgement basis in addition to the rating for thehearing loss.E.
