– Does not aim to be scientific<br />

• Method<br />
– Material is gently ruckled us<strong>in</strong>g both h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong><br />
smelled<br />
– Relies on experience of tester to pick anyth<strong>in</strong>g that is<br />
not normal<br />
• Suspect material should be re-tested us<strong>in</strong>g more precise<br />
methods
