Make A Difference Day is anannual event that takes place on <strong>the</strong> fourth Saturday <strong>of</strong>every October and this year, we are going to really –MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Contact Diane Najera at 875-8034by October 1st if you have an idea for a specific projectif to improve our community or you or your group canget involved in a project with family and friends.Ages: AllDate: Saturday,October 26 thWALKING ON WATERThe Challenge: Design and Build two separate, but mirrorimage buoyancy shoes, not to exceed 8’ in length, such thatone person can operate and control <strong>the</strong> shoes using only hisor her feet. This is a human powered apparatus. All materialsare allowed, however <strong>the</strong> total cost can not exceed $100 (thisinclude <strong>the</strong> value <strong>of</strong> donated items).Each Water Racer will traverse from one end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> competitivepool to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r, a distance <strong>of</strong> 25 yards. Each WaterRacer will compete twice.
