FeeS29INVEST INYOUR FUTUREWITH A QUALITYEDUCATIONMERIT SCHOLARSHIPScholarships are part of <strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong>’s commitment torewarding academic excellence and enabling students from allbackgrounds to realise <strong>the</strong>ir potential, graduate with strongpractical skills and achieve <strong>the</strong>ir goals.Qualified recipients will be notified by <strong>the</strong> Admissions officealong with <strong>the</strong> course offer letter.Local studentsMerit scholarships cover two units of <strong>the</strong> Certificate IV TertiaryPreparation Program or a bachelor degree at <strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong>.The scholarship is applied to <strong>the</strong> tuition for <strong>the</strong> final trimesterof <strong>the</strong> first enrolled course of study at <strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong>.<strong>Student</strong>s are not required to apply for <strong>the</strong> scholarship as itis awarded on <strong>the</strong> basis of academic performance and all ‘O’Level, ‘A’ Level, and polytechnic diploma graduates are eligible.CURTIN SINGAPORE OR NAVITAS FAMILY BURSARY<strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong> and Navitas offer financial support in <strong>the</strong>form of family bursaries. A bursary applies where two ormore students from <strong>the</strong> same family study with <strong>Curtin</strong> or aNavitas member institution. The first family member can bestudying with <strong>Curtin</strong> Bentley, Sarawak, <strong>Singapore</strong>, Sydney,or a Navitas member institution at <strong>the</strong> same time as o<strong>the</strong>rfamily members, or <strong>the</strong>y may have previously studied withany <strong>Curtin</strong> campus or Navitas member institution. The <strong>Curtin</strong><strong>Singapore</strong> or Navitas Family Bursary is only granted to <strong>the</strong>second and subsequent family members who study with<strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong>. For <strong>the</strong> purpose of this bursary, a familymember is defined as a husband, wife, bro<strong>the</strong>r, sister, mo<strong>the</strong>r,fa<strong>the</strong>r, son, daughter or stepchild.The <strong>Curtin</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong> or Navitas Family Bursary is equivalentto 10 percent of <strong>the</strong> tuition fee for <strong>the</strong> first attempt at units orcourses in <strong>the</strong> program of study (for example, a certificate IV,diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate program, excluding<strong>the</strong> mixed English option).This amount is credited to <strong>the</strong>eligible student’s tuition fee account each trimester, with <strong>the</strong>amount being relevant to <strong>the</strong> number of units undertaken inthat trimester.
