Take part in student activities to gain experiences, pickup new skills, meet new friends or just have a good time.CAREERStudent Career Centre: provides graduating studentswith career guidance consultations and mentoring throughqualified and experienced working professionals. The servicehelps boost the confidence level of our graduating studentsand assists them in better handling job interviews andwork-life balance. Students can get in touch with StudentCareer Centre on cscc-enquires@curtin.edu.sg to arrangean appointment with a mentor.COMMUNITYPrayer facilities: the diversity of religious beliefs andconvictions represented among students and staff at CurtinSingapore are supported. A prayer room is available for useby students.Student Committee: consists of selected, dedicated currentstudents who organise and hold activities for all studentson and off campus. Students interested in volunteering theirservices can submit an application to Student Central.Student activities: there is a wide range of activities onoffer, from trips to attractions like Universal Studios toadventurous expeditions like kayaking and cycling at PulauUbin. Students who are looking for something challengingcan take part in the many competitions we organise,such as pool, basketball and street soccer. Taking part inthese activities allows students to have a good time, getto know fellow students and discover Singapore. Studentscan even suggest new activities by getting in touch withStudent Central.LEARNINGOrientation: a compulsory session that will assistnew students to settle in comfortably and complete alladministration procedures before the start of trimester.Orientation also informs students of important student andacademic matters. International students will be requiredto sign the student contract and submit original documentsfor verification.Student Central: one-stop enquiry and assistanceservices and the first port of call for all day-to-dayadministrative matters. Student Central is located oncampus at Block D, Level 1, and can be contacted onstudentcentral@curtin.edu.sgStudy and discussion rooms: conducive environment forself-study and group discussions that is equipped withprojectors for students’ presentation practices.Computer and gymnasium facilities: access to computerlaboratories and gym is available for use by students.WELLBEINGAccommodation: Curtin Singapore will assist studentsseeking accommodation. Upon accepting their offer,students will receive an accommodation booking formexplaining their options in advance. There are manyaccommodation options available such as public HousingDevelopment Board (HDB) flats, private houses, and privateor public hostels.Counselling Services: an independent and confidentialarena to discuss issues of concern that may not be easilycommunicated with family or friends. Curtin Singapore’scounselling service is free, confidential, and available to allenrolled students, allowing you talk through any problemsto prevent them from escalating. An appointment can bemade through Student Central.Disability services: assistance to students who requirepermanent or temporary disability assistance. The relevantcompleted form and supporting documents should beprovided to Student Central.Smoke-free campus: Curtin Singapore Campus iscompletely smoke-free, providing a safe and healthyenvironment to students and staff.Grievances and appeals: there are official procedures toassist current students to resolve concerns about academicand other matters, which are set out in the Curtin SingaporeStudent Handbook.
