In addition, theoverheight can be attached to the spreader by the craneoperator alone, eliminating the need for the assistance ofdockside personnel. Dock workers no longer have to climbcorner posts to attach jury rigs for top tier, above deckflatracks. Nor do they have to climb ladders at groundlevel to disassemble the jury rigs from the corner posts ofchassis-mounted flatracks.The HSM6 consists of the frame and its storage fixture.The Overheight attaches to the host spreader by means offour (4) patented self-latching arms. The HSM6 is a trueslave spreader which copies the expand/retract andlock/unlock features of the host spreader. The HSM6 isvery flexible: it is adaptable for any ship-to-shore, RTG, orspreader-equipped lift truck application.EH3 RotatorBromma’s EH3 rotator is used mainly on mobile and jibcranes where the wire spacing is approximately 2m. For thisreason the rotating device is usually fitted to spreadersequipped with gravity point adjustment and tower connection.This type of spreader ensures that the container canbe adjusted into the horizontal position. The rotating devicecan also be supplied with a hook so that it can handlegeneral cargo, and with the quick-change arrangement, it iseasily connected/disconnected to the spreader.Handling efficiency is dependent on the lifting height andthe distance between the ropes. The EH3 rotator can beconnected to all kinds of jib cranes with rope distancesbetween 1,2 to 2,3 m.The EH3 is equipped with sliprings and a motor forunlimited rotation with a speed of between 1-5 r. p.m.All electrics are well-protected and the hydraulic unit(which comprises the pump, motor, tank, valves and filter)is totally enclosed within the steel structure, ensuringmaximum protection from damage. The EH3 is fabricatedof high quality Swedish steel, giving it a high lift capacitywith a low tare weight of 1,9 - 3,6 tonnes.
