4. EXAMINATIONCENTRALISED ENTRANCE TEST (CET- <strong>NBE</strong>)The DNB CET is an entrance examination for entry to the DNB BroadSpecialties. The next session of the examination shall be held in the monthof December <strong>2011</strong>.Qualifying the CET is an essential pre-requisite for entry to the DNB BroadSpecialties.A merit list based on performance of candidate out of 360 marks shall bepublished in order of merit subject to a minimum score of 50%Candidates successful in the DNB CET can apply to centralisedcounselling conducted by the <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> of <strong>Examination</strong>s for pursuingthe 3 years postgraduate DNB programme in various broad specialties.The selection will be purely on merit cum choice basis, based on themarks obtained by candidate in <strong>NBE</strong> - CET as per <strong>Board</strong> policy.The list of Broad Specialties in which candidates can pursue thepostgraduate DNB programme is mentioned at Annexure D.The list of <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> of <strong>Examination</strong>s accredited institutes wherecandidates can pursue DNB shall be uploaded on <strong>NBE</strong> websitewww.natboard.edu.in before the counselling for admission to DNB (BroadSpecialty) Courses Jan. 2012 Session.Candidates may note that qualifying a CET examination doesnot confer any kind of right whatsoever on a candidate to registeron a permanent basis with the Medical Council of India/StateMedical Council or to pursue a DNB or any other Post GraduateCourse as MD/MS etc.Registration with MCI/SMC is dependent on the fulfillment ofRules & Regulations of concerned Medical Council; entry to theDNB or any other PG course is subject to meeting the admissioncriteria so defined.Note : Possession/Use of Mobile Phones/Electronic Devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of <strong>NBE</strong> <strong>Examination</strong> Centres.Candidates Shall be liable for penal action for Possession/Use of Mobile Phones/Electronic Devices16
