Improvement result: Jimmy Fund Clinic staff can specifically order the patternsthat patients prefer <strong>and</strong> eliminate the less popular <strong>design</strong>s from the shelves.Side by SideAn award-winning quarterly patient newsletter that was first published in 1999. Its purpose is toshare inspirational stories of patients <strong>and</strong> family members, promote the Council <strong>and</strong> provideupdates on the Council’s projects, highlight support services offered inside <strong>and</strong> outside thehospital setting, <strong>and</strong> advertise a calendar of events at DFCI/CHB. Meeting times vary, as mostwork on Side by Side is done via telephone, e-mail <strong>and</strong>/or fax.
