The parkis open for two months each year, duringwhich time bulb buyers visit to determinefrom which growers and what varietiesthey will purchase that year.–– photos submitted by Marla and Ray SuikBy Daniel BushmanTWMDespite meeting withthe CEO of St. Peter’s andCarlton Trail Regional Collegeabout the potentialmerger of the two, Watroustown council members feltthey have not received adequateanswers and issueda release about their frustrations.However, commentsfrom Glen Kobussenand minister of advancededucation, employmentand labour Rob Norrisseem to indicate that programmingwill continue inWatrous.After several weeks ofdiscussion, investigationand meetings, council decidedto go public with itsconcerns about the proposedamalgamation of St.Peter’s College with CarltonTrail Regional College,which offers programs intown like licensed practicalnursing and pre-employmentelectrical.Council member RalphEliasson said disappointmentmounted after attendingnumerous meetings,including gettingtogether with CEO of St.Peter’s College and CarltonTrail Regional CollegeGlen Kobussen. “We requestedanswers to specificquestions and asked forcopies of financial statementsand business plans.. . The castle wasbuilt by Duke Albrecht, Count of Holland in1370 on the site of a previously-destroyedcastle dating back to 1280.
