Mr Al-Ameeri has a master’s degree ingeneral management from the American College in Boston, USA, which he gained in 1986.Between 2005 and 2006 Mr Al-Ameeri acted as Vice Chairman of GPI and Chairman of SakaniResidential Projects Company in Kuwait. Mr Al-Busairi has a master’s degreein mechanical engineering from George Washington University which he gained in 1982.Between 1997 and 2006 Mr Al-Busairi acted as Supply Chain Manager of EquatePetrochemicals. Between 1987 and 1997, he was director of business at Ahmad Saleh Al Busairiand Sons trading company in Kuwait. Between 1982 and 1987 he was General Manager with H&SComputer Services, Washington, D.C., USA. In addition, between 1987 and 1997, he was a full timeinstructor at the Kuwait Institute of Applied Technology and, between 2004 and 2005, he led ateam of 10 qualified consultants in establishing the Oula Fuel Company, Kuwait.His current other principal activities include:* Chairman of Grand; and* Vice Chairman of Grand Tourism.IIG’s Shari’a BoardThe responsibilities of IIG’s Shari’a Board include the supervision and control of IIG’s activitiesto ensure that they comply with Islamic principles and rules, the review of all forms of contractsand agreements to ensure Shari’a-compliance and the submission of objections in writing to theBoard of Directors with respect to any activities of IIG which are not in compliance with Shari’aprinciples.
