Student ServicesAt UC Davis Extension, our studentsare very important to us. IEPPstudents are registered as full-time,non-degree students <strong>and</strong> have accessto most facilities <strong>and</strong> privilegesavailable at UC Davis. These includelibraries, sports <strong>and</strong> recreationalfacilities, the Memorial Union, theStudent Health <strong>and</strong> Wellness Center,the Unitrans bus system <strong>and</strong> manymore—sometimes with a smalladditional fee. We also providestudents with personal assistance<strong>and</strong> advising on academic <strong>and</strong> visaissues, grade reports <strong>and</strong> continuoushelp-desk assistance. Students haveaccess to the computer labs <strong>and</strong> theUC Davis Extension MultimediaResource Center (MRC). They canalso connect to the Internet withtheir wireless electronic devices forfree.Preparation for your departureBefore you travel to your program,make sure you have yourimmigration documents (I-20,passport <strong>and</strong> visa) <strong>and</strong> proof ofmedical insurance (if purchased athome). You may also want to bookyour trip from the airport to yourdestination in Davis.Visas <strong>and</strong> immigration assistanceUC Davis is authorized underfederal law to enroll non-immigrantstudents <strong>and</strong> to manage <strong>and</strong> extendtheir immigration documents.Health insuranceStudents participating in theInternational English <strong>and</strong>Professional Programs must havehealth insurance that is valid in theUnited States. They must show proofof insurance coverage in Englishat registration (a minimum of$250,000 U.S. dollars in coverage).Otherwise, students must purchasehealth insurance at registration.IEPP provides excellent coverage ata rate of $30 per week.*Getting to Davis from theSacramento or San FranciscoairportThe Davis Airporter provides airporttransportation from the SacramentoInternational Airport <strong>and</strong> the SanFrancisco International Airport toDavis. This shuttle service charges$23* per person for transportationfrom the Sacramento InternationalAirport, <strong>and</strong> $85 per personfor transportation from the SanFrancisco International Airport(discounts vary for additionalpeople). These fees include twost<strong>and</strong>ard-sized pieces of luggage.
