2013 <strong>Moose</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Softball</strong> Rules1. ASA is the sanctioning body for this tournament and ASA rules will apply to all play.2. All participants must be active members at the time of registration and on tournament weekend.3. <strong>Moose</strong> membership cards and photo ID’s will be checked prior to the first game. The <strong>Tournament</strong>Committee reserves the right to check <strong>Moose</strong> membership cards and photo ID’s at any time during thetournament.4. Each team will submit a roster containing each player’s name, lodge or chapter number and MID/WIDnumber. A complete roster and paid entry fee must be properly submitted in order for team to be able toparticipate.5. The roster limit for both men’s competition and co-ed competition is 20 players.6. The home run rule for men’s competition is 4 home runs and 1 up. The home run rule for co-edcompetition is 2 home runs for each sex and 1 up.7. All bats used must comply with current ASA equipment regulations.8. Balls used for tournament will be 52 Core 300 Compression and will be available at the tournamentvenue.9. Game umpires and the <strong>Tournament</strong> Committee will make final determination on all disputes.10. All participants must sign a waiver prior to taking the field for the first game.11. All games will be 7 innings (exceptions: teams up 20 runs after 3 innings, 15 runs after 4 innings, or12 runs after 5 innings will be declared winners). Home teams will always have the last at-bat if trailing,including the championship round.12. Play will be three-game guarantee for men’s competition and round robin for co-ed competition.The <strong>Tournament</strong> Committee reserves the right to change the format depending on the number of entries.Teams will be notified of any format changes prior to the start of the tournament.13. NO alcoholic beverages are permitted on/at playing fields or in parking lots.<strong>Tournament</strong> entry fee of $300.00 must be received by June 28, 2013. Therewill be food tents, a beer garden and entertainment until 9:30 PM, followed by a spectacularfireworks display to wrap up the evening.<strong>Moose</strong>heart is a simple 20-mile drive from Yorkville.
