<strong>63rd</strong> ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MOOSE BOWLING TOURNAMENT RULESOnly Loyal Order of <strong>Moose</strong> or Women of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Moose</strong> members in good standing at <strong>the</strong> time of bowling will be eligible to bowl in <strong>the</strong>setournaments. All bowlers must show valid ID and membership cards.1. The tournament is open to both Men and Women. There is not a separate division for women. All bowlers must besanctioned by USBC or CTF.2. All averages used in this tournament shall be based on 21 games or more.3. It shall be each bowler’s responsibility to verify <strong>the</strong> accuracy of his average. Any bowler who submits a false average shallforfeit any and all prize money, and will be suspended from future tournaments.4. A team which does not have a full line-up will not receive any score for an absentee bowler.5. Any team or individual in this tournament failing to appear on <strong>the</strong> lanes when scheduled to bowl shall receive a score of “Zero”for each frame missed.6. No entry money will be refunded if it is found that some teams or individuals have failed to comply with all <strong>the</strong> rules andregulations governing this tournament.7. The <strong>Tournament</strong> Contact and <strong>Tournament</strong> Committee shall have full power as to <strong>the</strong> acceptance of any substitutes offered forany event supported by proper affidavit. Each substitute must bowl under his own name and only at <strong>the</strong> properly scheduled time.8. All remittances must be made in <strong>the</strong> form of check or money order in U.S. dollars and made payable to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Moose</strong> <strong>International</strong>.Checks should be earmarked “2013 <strong>Bowling</strong> <strong>Tournament</strong>.”9. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS PAID IN FULL.10. Use highest average during 2011-2012 season. If you do not have a 2011-2012 average, use highest average as of January1, 2013 for 21 games or more. Those without sanctioned average must use a 220 tournament average. Summer league averagesare not accepted. This is a handicap <strong>Tournament</strong>, each bowler will receive a handicap 90% of <strong>the</strong> difference between his/heraverage and 220. There will be no maximum handicap used in this tournament.11. The Singles event will be bowled first, <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> Doubles event. There will normally be six (6) bowlers scheduled to each pair oflanes for <strong>the</strong> Singles and Doubles.12. To participate in <strong>the</strong> doubles or singles events, you must enter both events.13. USBC Rule 319A-2 will be applied, which in brief states that at <strong>the</strong> time of entry, if <strong>the</strong> entrant has a current season’s average 10or more pins higher than <strong>the</strong> prior season’s average <strong>the</strong> bowler must use his current average for entry in <strong>the</strong> tournament.USBC Rule 319A-3 states, in part, failure to use <strong>the</strong> proper average or make a correction prior to <strong>the</strong> completion of <strong>the</strong> first gameof a series shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than actual average or base prize winnings on submitted average ifits higher.14. USBC and non-USBC members may participate in Moral Support sanctioned tournament with high score recognitionautomatically extended to USBC members. Eligible non-league bowlers can qualify for high score recognition, at <strong>the</strong>ir option, bypaying a $21.00 fee for which USBC will issue an affiliated membership.14a. Canadian bowlers must provide a CTF membership card or pay $21 for an affiliate card.15. USBC Rule 308b: at least one prize for each 10 entries or major fraction <strong>the</strong>reof, 1 in 20 for ALL EVENTS.16. A bowler is not eligible to compete more than once in each event of this tournament with <strong>the</strong> following exception: members of<strong>the</strong> host city lodge only will be allowed to bowl more than once for <strong>the</strong> out of town teams to fill vacancies, and will qualify forprize money.17. Any rules not covered above will be covered by <strong>the</strong> United States <strong>Bowling</strong> Congress.18.
