Senefelder Misset, together with <strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong>, is closely involved asa partner in P+, the Magazine for <strong>Social</strong>ly Aware Business Conduct.P+ offers a multiplicity of media forms for communication onsocially responsible business practice: a magazine, website, e-zone,films, conferences and seminars.Senefelder Misset is involved as a print sponsor with the Firm College,which is a project that familiarises senior high school childrenwith business studies, encouraging them to develop their businessskills.<strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong> also sponsored printing for the Magazine in the ClassroomProjects. This fund encourages school-age children in poorneighbourhoods. The students themselves think up and make theirown magazine from start to finish. Projects like this offer them allthe opportunity to expand their horizons. In particular, third yearstudents in the Weekend Schools in Amsterdam Southeast, Westand North worked on the Magazine project under the guidance ofprofessional magazine makers.<strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong> <strong>Group</strong>’s other services are also recruited for goodcauses, as with MediaPartners <strong>Group</strong>, which developed for theRonald McDonalds Children’s Fund a new magazine concept: (t)Huis. This is a central magazine with plate changes that allowevery branch to offer the readers local content. (t)Huis comes outquarterly and is sent to donors, sponsors and others who are closelyinvolved. Ronald McDonald was charged suitably modified tariffs.DonationsInternal sponsoring policy<strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong> group views sponsoring as a logical extension of itsclose relations with its employees and its involvement with societyin the regions where the plants are located. The <strong>Group</strong> encouragesits employees to undertake voluntary work by contributing only tothose good causes that are supported by its own employees, someexamples being:Riding for the DisabledThis charity’s goal is to give riding lessons to people with a varietyof handicaps. Besides riding lessons, they also teach how to carefor the animals, show that others too ‘Have something’, and teachsocial skills. They are encouraged to do good deedsfor others. In <strong>2011</strong> they supported Equilibrium, which sendsclothing and books to Zambia. She visits the hospital three timesa week and ensures that everywhere there are children in thehospital there are presents and surprises to reward the kids afterupsetting procedures and other tense experiences. In November we both sponsored and attended theCustomer Media Conference.<strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong> also sponsors the ‘<strong>Roto</strong> <strong>Smeets</strong> Runners’, who takepart in the Roparun, a relay race over a 520 km route from Paris toRotterdam.
