The term “System” is usually better replaced with “society” or“establishment,” as it has negative connotations that may offend some people.Family LifeBlob: A large Family Home that is most likely too big and spends more time running itself thanreaching out to the lost!Dance Night: Activity at home, dancing together.Desperate Prayer: Wholehearted fervent and often emotional prayer.Devotions: Time of reading and prayer, usually early on in the day.Get-out: A time of exercise and fresh air, sometimes a sports activity, such as team games, or aworkout, walk, jog, etc.Going mobile: To live in a mobile lifestyle, such as with a car and caravan.Heart sharing: A time of sharing lessons, etc.Inspiration: Time of singing and praise.JJT— “Jesus Job Time”: housekeeping chores.Memory Book Tapes: Songs of Life collection of music tapes containing music, with scripture aslyrics.New Wine: Newly revealed Word of God, often given through prophecy (See Matthew 9:17).P&P: Prayer and prophecy time.Parent time: When parents spend time with their children, giving them concentrated, goodquality attention. Usually this is a time of relaxation or fun activities.Personal time: Time taken by usually two people, one of them most likely a shepherd, sharinglessons, talking, praying together.PPM: Prayer and Prophecy Meeting: a time of praying and seeking the Lord for answers on specifictopics and problems, expecting to hear His voice as guidance.Praise time: A few minutes set aside at different times during the day to praise the Lord.Prayer day: A day when most of the time is set aside for private prayer or united prayer meetings,studying and meditating on God’s Word, intercessory prayer for others.Selah: Selah means “pause and think about it.” In the Family we also use it to mean somethingthat requires security, sort of another definition for “classified information.”Selah trash: Selah trash is paper trash that is burned or shredded for privacy and security reasons.130Family Expressions
