Some of the language gets adopted by society in general (we all now understandthat a “mouse” is a device attached to a computer); some language remains used only or mainlyby the select group. We in the Family have also adopted our own particular vocabulary, whichis ever-growing. As time goes by, we can tend to forget that the expression we’re using is notsomething commonly understood, at least not in the way that we’re using it! It will be helpfulto your students to be gradually introduced to Family expressions as this will help them in theirunderstanding of the pubs—particularly the most advanced DFO pubs such as New Wine.
