Architectural Review Committee Submittal FormSUN CITY ORO VALLEY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE SUBMITTAL GUIDELINES1. Please refer to the Sun City Oro Valley MASTER DECLARATION and the Sun City Oro Valley DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for guidelines. Allhomeowners have received copies. Additional copies are available from the Community Services Coordinator or on the Sun Citywebsite.2. Your submittal must be given to the Community Services Coordinator in person. Please make sure that you, the homeowner, haveincluded all of the required information and have completed the forms in their entirety. If you do not, your request could be delayedtwo weeks or longer. In addition homeowners, or their decision-making representative must be available onsite to meet with an ARCcommittee member to review the submittal. A form is available for you to sign to designate a decision making representative if youwill not be available. If no one is available submittals cannot be processed.3. All submittals require payment of a $10.00 fee; check should be made out to: SCVCAI, except for House Painting, Satellite Dishes,Pavers, Solar Tubes, Air Conditioning units. These must be approved in advance by the Community Services Coordinator.4. An accurate drawing must be submitted along with a plot plan showing the exact location of construction or proposed structure. Forroom additions or anything that must tie into the roofline, an elevation of the proposed structure must also be submitted.5. A working set of blueprints must be submitted if your request is of construction nature; such as: remodeling, room expansion, roomadditions, patio cover, etc.6. If submitting a request for a wall and the wall is to split a common property line, a letter from the neighboring homeowners approvingyour request must be submitted.7. If submitting for approval for security doors/enclosures/entryway of any type, you must submit a drawing of proposed securitydoor/enclosure/entryway along with a floor plan and plot plan indicating the exact proposed location of such.8. If submitting for an awning of any type, submit a drawing/sketch of proposed awning, a 3x3" sample of material, a floor plan and plotplan indicating the exact proposed location. If awning is retractable, show the distance between the property line and awning when itis extended. An awning, addition, etc. must maintain the prescribed setbacks. Setbacks are measured from the property line to thefurthermost extension of the awning, addition, etc.9. The Architectural Review Committee does not have the time to look at any other property as an example of what you would like to do.Your submittal must include all the required information.10. Your request will be reviewed per the Sun City Oro Valley “Master Declaration” and “Development Standards”. Approved as submitted,approved as noted, not approved or tabled (returned for additional information) within one week of an official meeting of theArchitectural Review Committee.11. For appeal process, see the Master Declaration: Article XI, Section 3.NOTE: All submittals must be received by noon on the Tuesday prior to the next ARC Meeting .
