Not so,according to the folks conducting the 90-plus free educational sessions located inthe ProMat 2013 Knowledge Center. Thesessions run in eight separate theatersfrom 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondayand Tuesday, and on Wednesday from10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.“The On-Floor Seminars are presentedby industry experts in material handlingand logistics solutions,” said Amy Cunningham,manager of ProMat’s educationalseminars. “It’s a superb opportunityfor attendees to be educated on thelatest material handing technologies fromexhibitors, industry groups and researchinstitutions.”Topics range from best practicesreviews to maintenance to metrics. Detailedabstracts of each session, with keytakeaways for attendees, are included inboth the show program and in a specialseminar directory booklet. Only a few ofthe sessions run twice. Each theater holds100 participants, and it’s first-come/firstservedwith no standing room allowed,added Cunningham.Additionally, several industry groupswill be presenting the latest insightsinto their technologies.
