Use in area withquestionable power delivery, commercial applications, longlineset, etc.Evaporator Defrost Control — SPST Temperature actuatedswitch that cycles the condenser off as indoor coil reachesfreeze-up conditions. Used for low ambient cooling to 30°Fwith TXV.Rubber Isolators — Five (5) large rubber donuts to isolatecondensing unit from transmitting energy into mounting frameor pad. Use on any application where sound transmissionneeds to be minimized.Hard Start kit — Start capacitor and relay to assist compressormotor startup. Use in areas with marginal power supply, onlong linesets, low ambient conditions, etc.Extreme Condition Mount Kit — Bracket kits to securelymount condensing unit to a frame or pad without removing anypanels. Use in areas with high winds, or on commercial rooftops, etc.ARI Standard Capacity Rating ConditionsARI STANDARD 210/240 RATING CONDITIONS —(A) Cooling 80°F DB, 67°F WB air entering indoor coil,95°F DB air entering outdoor coil.(B) High Temperature Heating 47°F DB, 43°F WB air enteringoutdoor coil, 70°F DB air entering indoor coil.(C) Low Temperature Heating 17°F DB, 15°F WB air enteringoutdoor coil, 70°F DB air entering indoor coil.(D) Rated indoor airflow for heating is the same as for cooling.ARI STANDARD 270 RATING CONDITIONS — (Noise ratingnumbers are determined with the unit in cooling operation.)Standard Noise Rating number is at 95°F outdoor air.DATA SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE 5

PRODUCT DATAAmerican Standard Heating & Air ConditioningMechanicalSpecification OptionsGeneralThe 4A7B3-D models shall be fullycharged from the factory for matched indoorsection and up to 15 feet of piping. This unit must be designed to operateat outdoor ambient temperatures ashigh as 115°F. Cooling capacities shallbe matched with a wide selection of airhandlers and furnace coils that are ARIcertified. The unit is certified to UL 1995.Exterior must be designed for outdoorapplication.CasingUnit casing is constructed of heavygauge, galvanized steel and paintedwith a weather-resistant powder paint.Corrosion and weatherproof CMBP-G30DuraTuff base.Refrigerant ControlsRefrigeration system controls includecondenser fan and compressor contactor.High and low pressure controls areinherent to the compressor. Anotherstandard feature is the liquid line dryer.CompressorThe Duration ® compressor featuresinternal over temperature and pressureprotector, total dipped hermetic motorand thermostatically controlled sumpheater. Other features include centrifugaloil pump, and low vibration and noise.Condenser CoilThe Spine Fin coil shall be continuouslywrapped, corrosion resistantall aluminum with minimum brazedjoints. This coil is 3/8 inch O.D. seamlessaluminum glued to a continuousaluminum fin. Coils are lab tested towithstand 2,000 pounds of pressure persquare inch. The outdoor coil provideslow airflow resistance and efficient heattransfer. The coil is protected on all foursides by louvered panels.Low Ambient CoolingAs manufactured, this unit has a coolingcapability to 55°F. The addition ofan evaporator defrost control permitsoperation to 30°F. The addition of a lowambient kit with TXV permits low ambientcooling to 0°F.AccessoriesThermostats — Heating/Cooling(manual and automatic changeover).Sub-base to match thermostat and lockingthermostat cover.Evaporator Defrost Control — SeeLow Ambient Cooling.Outdoor Thermostat — Supplementalheat outdoor ambient lockout from46 to –10°F.DATA SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE 11
