A set <strong>of</strong> codons that correspond to <strong>the</strong>same amino acid are “synonymous”. Surprisingly, which synonym is used can have an effect ontranslation speed and <strong>the</strong> final structure <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> folded protein. I generated visuals for existingprojects, and investigated whe<strong>the</strong>r codon functionality extended to viruses.49
