InstallationRemove wallplate from unit by unscrew<strong>in</strong>g the twoscrews on the bottom edge of the unit. From the top left hand corner of the wallplate, theremust be clearances of at le<strong>as</strong>t 140 mm to the right,15mm to the left, 30mm above and 100mm below <strong>in</strong>order to mount the plug-on module. The wallplate must be securely mounted eitherdirectly to the wall us<strong>in</strong>g suitable wood screws or to aflush mounted 1-gang electrical accessory box us<strong>in</strong>gM3.5 screws. Cable access can either be from beh<strong>in</strong>d forconcealed cabl<strong>in</strong>g, or from below for surface cabl<strong>in</strong>g.If surface cable is <strong>used</strong>, cut out cable access slot onplug-on module prior to mount<strong>in</strong>g the module.Installation For wir<strong>in</strong>g connections refer to diagram on page 5.<strong>TS715</strong> models are double <strong>in</strong>sulated and do notrequire an earth connection, however a park<strong>in</strong>gterm<strong>in</strong>al is provided on the wallplate. This is clearlymarked with an Earth symbol. Prior to mount<strong>in</strong>g the plug-on module, DIL switcheson the rear of the plug-on module must be set. Seediagram on page 5 for available options. Mount plug-on module to wallplate by locat<strong>in</strong>g tabson top of wallplate <strong>in</strong> apertures on rear of module,h<strong>in</strong>ge down and press firmly to wallplate beforetighten<strong>in</strong>g secur<strong>in</strong>g screws on bottom of wallplate.4

Before you startOpen the fl ap on the front of the clock. Press the RESETbutton us<strong>in</strong>g a non-metallic object (e.g. pencil/matchstick)until you hear a click and the red light on the front of theunit fl <strong>as</strong>hes once.This will re<strong>in</strong>state the presetprogrammes and sets the time to12.00pm on Monday (MO)Choice of 24hr or AM/PM displayPress and hold DAY & NEXTON/OFF for 1.5 seconds to togglebetween 24hr clock and AM/PMdisplay, <strong>as</strong> required.Sett<strong>in</strong>g the correct Time and DaySETTING THE TIMEPress PROG once.RESET, 24hr or AM/PM display, Sett<strong>in</strong>g TimeThe words SET TIME will appearat the top of the display & the timewill fl<strong>as</strong>h on and off.Use the + and - buttons to setthe correct time (press and hold tochange <strong>in</strong> 10 m<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>crements).11


SETTING THE DAYPress DAY repeatedly untilthe correct day of the weekis displayed. MO is Monday,TU is Tuesday etc.Sett<strong>in</strong>g Day, Accept<strong>in</strong>g Preset ProgrammesAccept<strong>in</strong>g the preset programmesIf you are happy to use the presetprogrammes on page 10, you don’tneed to do anyth<strong>in</strong>g else.To accept the factory presets justpress the PROG button until thetime appears & colon <strong>in</strong> the displaybeg<strong>in</strong>s to fl <strong>as</strong>h.Your unit is now <strong>in</strong> RUN mode and will control your heat<strong>in</strong>gand hot water accord<strong>in</strong>g to the preset programmes.712

If your clock h<strong>as</strong> been<strong>in</strong>stalled to allow 3 ON/OFFs and you do not wish touse one of the ON/OFF sett<strong>in</strong>gs, simply programmethe ON time to be the same <strong>as</strong> the OFF time and thesett<strong>in</strong>g will not operate.Chang<strong>in</strong>g Preset Programmes!If at any time you get conf<strong>used</strong> and need to resetyour tim<strong>in</strong>gs to the standard programme, press theRESET button to return to the preset programmes.13

Runn<strong>in</strong>g your ProgrammeTo run the programme:press the SELECT button.As you press the SELECT buttonthe display will change betweenON, OFF, ALLDAY and AUTO.ONOFFALLDAY●●●●AUTO = the system will come on and go off atthe programmed timesON = the system will rema<strong>in</strong> on constantlyOFF = the system will not come onALLDAY = the clock will turn the system on atthe fi rst programmed ON and will leave it onuntil your l<strong>as</strong>t programmed OFFRUN modeSelect the option you require depend<strong>in</strong>g on yourcircumstances, time of year, etc.19


Temporary override buttonsSometimes you may need to change the way you useyour heat<strong>in</strong>g temporarily, i.e. due to unusually coldweather. The <strong>TS715</strong> h<strong>as</strong> two convenient overrides whichcan be selected without affect<strong>in</strong>g the set programme.+1HRMAN+1HRMANOverride buttons+1HR = press<strong>in</strong>g this button when the unit is <strong>in</strong> AUTOor ALLDAY mode will cause the system torema<strong>in</strong> on for an extra hour. If it is pressedwhile the unit is OFF, the system will come onimmediately for 1 hour then go off aga<strong>in</strong>.MAN = press<strong>in</strong>g this button when the unit is <strong>in</strong> AUTO orALLDAY mode will cause the system to go OFFuntil the next programmed ON, or vice versa.20


Chang<strong>in</strong>g clocks forward & backOpen the fl ap on the front of the unitto reveal the programm<strong>in</strong>g buttons.To change from Summer to W<strong>in</strong>ter(clocks back) - press and hold - buttonTo change from W<strong>in</strong>ter to Summer(clocks forward) - press and hold + buttonNOTE: After the first time thischange h<strong>as</strong> been made this featurewill only allow the clock to bechanged <strong>in</strong> the opposite direction.Chang<strong>in</strong>g Clocks forward & back (Summer/W<strong>in</strong>ter)Take care when mak<strong>in</strong>g this change forthe first time.
