<strong>2012</strong> <strong>R<strong>at</strong>es</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Accommod<strong>at</strong>ions</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>YMCA</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Orkila</strong>:<br />

Main <strong>Camp</strong>: $47/night <strong>for</strong> adults , $39/night <strong>for</strong> youth; MEALS INCLUDED (Note th<strong>at</strong> meals can<br />

be provided only when 40 or more people are dining. Your group numbers combine with other<br />

groups in camp to achieve this minimum.) There are three options in this c<strong>at</strong>egory:<br />

Wally Fisher Lodge Wally Fisher Lodge Open-Air cabin<br />

• Wally Fisher Lodge: Four rustic bunk rooms sleep 14 per room. (Total: 56 beds) Two<br />

large shared b<strong>at</strong>hrooms provide multiple sinks, toilets, and showers. A common room<br />

with fireplace is situ<strong>at</strong>ed in the middle of the complex and can be used as a small<br />

meeting space. Wally Fisher Lodge is loc<strong>at</strong>ed in north camp and is winterized.<br />

• Smith cabin: Two rustic, side-by-side cabins sleep 10 each. (Total: 20 beds) Each side<br />

has a priv<strong>at</strong>e b<strong>at</strong>hroom with shower. Smith cabin is loc<strong>at</strong>ed in South camp and is<br />

winterized.<br />

• Training Center: Four bunk rooms sleep 4 each. (Total: 16 beds) Slightly less rustic,<br />

these rooms are loc<strong>at</strong>ed in the lower level of Larry Norman Lodge, our main dining<br />

facility. Men's and Women's b<strong>at</strong>hrooms with showers are loc<strong>at</strong>ed on the same level and<br />

serve as the b<strong>at</strong>hrooms <strong>for</strong> the entire lodge. A central common room with a lovely marine<br />

view can be used as a small meeting space. Winterized.<br />

• Open-air cabins are loc<strong>at</strong>ed throughout main camp, with some right on the beach. They<br />

sleep 10-14 people in bunk beds and have access to b<strong>at</strong>h houses nearby.<br />

Dederer Center: high-occupancy r<strong>at</strong>e (>12 people): $49/night <strong>for</strong> adults , $40/night <strong>for</strong> youth,<br />

MEALS NOT INCLUDED <strong>R<strong>at</strong>es</strong> <strong>for</strong> adults increase as group size shrinks. (e.g. <strong>for</strong> groups


• The Dederer Center also contains a carpeted conference room in a separ<strong>at</strong>e building<br />

(Gre<strong>at</strong> Blue Heron) with a kitchenette and restrooms. This room is available <strong>for</strong> no<br />

additional cost to groups booked in the Dederer Center on a first-come, first-reserve<br />

basis. Some audio visual equipment is also available upon request, including a digital<br />

projector, overhead projector, TV, VCR/DVD player, etc.<br />

• Meals are available in the main lodge <strong>for</strong> $9.75 each, when requested in advance.<br />

Various ala carte activities are available to groups who are otherwise providing their own<br />

programming. These include<br />

• Archery, riflery: $120/day; $79/half-day (per activity)<br />

• Arts & Crafts: $221/day; $110/half-day<br />

• Bo<strong>at</strong>ing (row bo<strong>at</strong>s): $300/day; $198/half-day<br />

• Climbing wall: $263/day; $180/half-day<br />

• Challenge course (tailored to your goals; see description below): $681/day;<br />

$285/morning; $398/afternoon (<strong>for</strong> group of


Meeting areas in camp:<br />

• Gre<strong>at</strong> Blue Heron meeting room: In the Dederer Center, carpeted, modern, has AV<br />

equipment, 1000 sq. ft. (pictured above, under “Dederer Center”)<br />

• Larry Norman Lodge: Contains several meeting spaces (main lodge north & south,<br />

library, Training Center)<br />

• Marine Salmon Center: Lab tables <strong>for</strong> small groups and auditorium-style se<strong>at</strong>ing <strong>for</strong> large<br />

group<br />

• Alumni House: Open space with tables and chairs, wood floor, fireplace, wall-mounted<br />

fl<strong>at</strong>-screen monitor, kitchen w/ fridge<br />

• Tracy Strong Lodge: Large, open, 2000 sq. ft. room, concrete floor, slightly removed from<br />

other parts of camp<br />

• Center Room of Wally Fisher Lodge: Recessed center has fireplace.<br />

• Program Shelter: Large, high-ceiling space. Open-air, with fireplace and lighting<br />

• Dederer cabin lounges (Each cabin has a common area <strong>at</strong> the entrance th<strong>at</strong> can be used<br />

<strong>for</strong> small g<strong>at</strong>herings.)<br />
