The samples of other solutionsfor ship industryThe starting autotransformers of tubular ruddersThe starting autotransformers type EA3RM are used to start the enginesof tubular rudders. Provided the starting autotransformer is used, thesupply voltage during the starting process does not fall below a criticalvalue, thus the operation of automatic devices is not disturbed.These autotransformers work with engines of power from a few to a fewthousand of kW. Voltage level at the taps, the start-up time and allparameters determining work conditions of the machine are preciselydiscussed at the stage of designing .The starting method with the use of a starting autotransformer is usedespecially in big power engines, where the supply current during thestart-up is a crucial parameter. In case of autotransformer the voltagecan be freely lowered for the time of starting with appropriate choice oftransmission gear, so that the supply current does not exceed presetvalue.While choosing transmission gears it must be monitored, if the momentof the engine with lowered voltage is higher that the anti-torque of adriven rudder.The dry type marinestarting autotransformerthe EA3RM COMPACTSafety transformers in shipyard docks6A three-phase safety transformer was designed on shipbuilding industrydemand. ET3oM transformers are designed to supply with safe 42/24 Vvoltage the selected workstations in shipyard docks. Transformers supplydevices and electrical appliances used by repair brigades.Transformers ET3oM of the power of 15 KVA and 20 KVA are producedin naval workmanship in the first protection class. They meet the requirementsof EN 61558 standard. The construction of the transformer, withenhanced mechanical damage resistance, has been adjusted to difficultshipyard conditions.
