Further, the policy provides that it isnecessary to increase the production of both cereals – oilseeds and pulses bymaking available high-yielding varieties to the farmers. The Committee directed the Division as below:i. To amend the application form to be filed by companies forexport/import to incorporate important information notpresently included particularly the ITC(HS) Classification ofExport and Import items, 2007-08. The proforma will be put upseparately for the approval of the Chairman of the Committee onfile and also be uploaded on the website for the use of thepublic.ii.iii.The cases where the basic pre-requisites/information have notbeen provided by the Company such as seed dealer licence, ITC(HS) Classification, etc., should not be put up for considerationof the Committee. Applicants may be informed aboutdeficiencies.The essential information/documents required to be furnishedby a party for its case to be taken up for consideration should beindicated while putting up the application for consideration ofthe Committee.The Committee noted that despite pointing out repeatedly, theSection was not filling the proforma for consideration of applicationproperly. This was viewed seriously. It would be the personalresponsibility of the in-charge of the Section to provide correct and fullinformation on the proforma to the Committee.The Committee noted that the Section was not furnishing the listof pending cases. In view of above direction, it decided that the Sectionmust furnish information of following in the next meeting:i. Cases pending with the Section.ii. Cases not put up to the Committee and returned to theparties for non-compliance of essential requirements.Meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
