10.19.3 Internee Accounts. The Detaining Power shall open a regular account for everyinternee, to which shall be credited:• allowances named in Article 98 of the GC;• wages earned;• remittances received; and• such sums taken from the internee as may be available under the legislation in force inthe territory in which he or she is interned. 30610.19.3.1 Drawing Upon Accounts. Internees may draw from their accounts theamounts necessary for their personal expenses, within the limits fixed by the Detaining Power. 307Internees shall be granted all facilities consistent with the legislation in force in suchterritory to make remittances to their families and to other dependents. 30810.19.3.2 Account Statement. Internees shall at all times be afforded reasonablefacilities for consulting and obtaining copies of their accounts. 309 A statement of accounts shallbe furnished to the Protecting Power on request, and shall accompany the internee in case oftransfer. 31010.19.3.3 Settlement of Account on Release or Repatriation.
