5. MAINTENANCEMAINTENANCE OF THE EXCHANGERSThe evacuation pipe and the exchangers should be inspected regularly during the burning season. Easy accessis provided (without the use of tools): unscrew the wing nut on the exchangers access door.See pictures below.Before cleaning the three exchanger pipes, move the upper plate of the combustion chamber forward (seedrawing on next page). Using the scraper, clean the three exchanger pipes. The accumulated dirt in the lateralexchangers will fall into the combustion chamber, if pushed to the rear; the dirt in the central exchanger will have tobe removed from the front or the back of the furnace. Then, ensure that the upper plate is free of ashes. Do notforget to push the upper plate backward to it’s original position. Finally, close the exchanger access door.18
