Capital (Erck Rickmers) and theBernhard Schulte group have formed a joint ship investmentventure called Quayside Maritime Partners (QMP).The JV will be managed by Philipp Wünschmann andDietrich Schleicher. It will aim to take advantage of internationalovercapacities to purchase vessels at attractiveprices and sell them when the market improves. Thetwo firms manage about 800 vessels between them andemploy around 20,000 people.
