Gergen developed theprogram originally to inform U.S. Marines about how to make theirsavings grow. He has found that employees who can save money havea more positive work attitude. Bring your lunch and enjoy it during thepresentation. PTO or FLEX must be used for the 30 minutes beyond thestandard lunch break.June 1-30 – Apply for Education Assistance by June 30Preapproval applications for Ingalls Education Assistance (EA)will be accepted through June 30. Shipbuilders approved for tuitionreimbursement can receive up to $7,500 per year. Another enrollmentperiod will be offered Nov. 1-30. A high school diploma or GED is required for managers andprovides employees opportunities for career advancement. The classeswill be held on company property outside of regular work hours. NewGED requirements will go into effect in 2014, so it’s important that GEDstudents enroll and start the program soon.
