Derek Fraley’s passion for the humanitiesled him and his wife, Jennifer, to establishan endowment for the Meyer Libraryon the Missouri State University campus,which they continue to support. The giftwill be used to purchase rare books onthe literary market. “It’s going to benefitstudies in religion, art, English andhistory, as well as anybody with a need tostudy primary or old texts,” Fraley said.Fraley, BS, ’01, is treasurer ofGuarantee Bank with branches in Greeneand Christian counties of Missouri.Although he has only been gone fromMissouri State for eight years, seeingthe University grow is important to him.Fraley said, “My reason for the gift wasabout attracting future students andresearch-oriented professors.”Derek and Jennifer Fraley in the Special Collections area at the Duane G.
