DCC plc Annual Report & Accounts 2000Shareholder InformationAmalgamation of AccountsShareholders who receive duplicate sets of company mailings owing to multiple accounts in their names should write to theCompany’s Registrar to have their accounts amalgamated.DividendsShareholders are offered the option of having dividends paid in Euros or pounds sterling. Shareholders may also elect toreceive dividend payments either by cheque or by electronic funds transfer directly into their bank accounts. Shareholdersshould contact the Company’s Registrar for details.AccountsDividend Withholding Tax (DWT)The Company is obliged to deduct tax at the standard rate of income tax in Ireland (currently 22%), from dividends paid toits shareholders, unless a particular shareholder is entitled to an exemption from DWT and has completed and returned tothe Company’s Registrar a declaration form claiming entitlement to the particular exemption. Exemption from DWT may beavailable to shareholders resident in another EU Member State, or in a country with which the Republic of Ireland has adouble taxation agreement in place, and to certain non-individual shareholders resident in Ireland (e.g. companies, pensionfunds, charities etc).An explanatory leaflet entitled “Dividend Withholding Tax Information Leaflet”, has been published by the Irish RevenueCommissioners and can be obtained by contacting the Company’s Registrar. This leaflet can also be downloaded from theIrish Revenue Commissioners web site at http://www.revenue.ie/download/dwtleaf.doc. Declaration forms for claiming anexemption are available from the Company’s Registrar.80Annual General MeetingThe Annual General Meeting will be held at the Berkeley Court Hotel, Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4 on Monday 3 July 2000 at11a.m. The Notice of Meeting together with an explanatory letter from the Chairman and a proxy card accompany this report.CRESTDCC is a member of the CREST share settlement system.
