4 Cot assembly (continued)12Locate the fixing holes on the inside of theend panels where the drop side will attach.Fit the upper drop side guides (1) for the dropside to the upper holes on the inside of eachcot end using the short bolts as shown.Fit the lower drop side guide pins (2) into theholes lower down the ends. Do not confusethese holes with the base fixing holes.Turn the cot over so the fixed side is on the floor, leaving the base and fixed sidebolts slightly loose.With the teething rail uppermost, locate the upper drop side guide (part 1 above)into the drop side guide entry points, 3 below, and slide the drop side down theguides.Rotate the bottom of the drop side towards the cot and locate the lower dropside guide pins, part 2 above, into the lower guide pin track in the drop side, part 4below.Take care not to damage the drop side with the guide pins. It may help to loosenthe base bolts further to avoid damage.Teething rail3 Upper drop side guide entry pointDropside4 Lower drop side guide pin trackTighten all the bolts, stand the cot on it’s feet, and check the drop side operation.To operate, lift the drop side upwards, press the bottom rail inwards with your leg,then lower towards the floor.Lift upwards to engage and check it is engaged before leaving the child.Page 5
